注释1：Doris Schattschneider 1939年10月19日生于纽约，1966年得到耶鲁大学博士学位。自1968年起，这位女士一直任教于Moravian大学。她是数学杂志（1981—1985）首位女编辑，同时也是美国数学协会第一位女性的副主席。1991年她获得美国数学协会的特殊贡献表彰。在她的学术生涯中，Doris Schattschneider发表了40多篇论文，并且独著或合著了7本著作。她是一名几何研究者，也是NSF-funded Visual Geometry项目的高级合伙人，这个项目诞生了如“几何画板”这样的划时代软件。
